This audio came out of a talk I had with a friend about mental noting, in which, she mentioned how difficult it was to remember to be mindful, and use mental noting outside of the meditation practice.  And it reminded me of how important it IS to develope this particular habit, however difficult it is to remember.

Because after all, our purpose in Vipassana meditation is not to have pleasant meditation, so much as to bring present moment awareness into life itself, which brings with it the calmness and poise we need to live well. And mental noting is the tool we use to do just that.
